Kim

EDUCATOR | WIFE

You’re here because becoming a parent has proved more difficult than you imagined, and you don’t know where to turn.

You are suffering and grieving the loss of a future that should have been. Anxious and overwhelmed, knowing the road ahead is going to be bumpy, uncomfortable, and uncertainto say the least.

I had a plan, too. Just like you, the family I once dreamed of is now a bunch of unanswerable questions. Will it happen? When? How? What if it doesn’t?

Infertility is hard. It is scary and lonely.

Kim and her Husband started trying to conceive in 2021 and were referred to Heartland Fertility in 2022. Following endometriosis, a cancer diagnosis, and two ectopic pregnancies, she was inspired to support those grieving loss while navigating fertility appointments, treatments, and diagnoses.

Alex

DOULA | EDUCATOR | MOM | WIFE

You’re here because your fertility journey has taken a turn you never imagined, leaving you feeling isolated, alone, and struggling with your loss.

You may even be pregnant after loss, and find yourself anxious about the outcome of this pregnancy, struggling to find joy, and worried, stressed out and possibly scared about giving birth.

I’ve been there. Which is why I became a doula, specializing in helping others navigate the road of pregnancy loss, terminations for any reason, and birth after loss.

Kim and I created Forty Lemons to break down the stigma about loss. We want to spread the word and talk candidly about loss and grief in the hopes we reach others on the same journey.
